Musical educator and ASCAP independent recording artist Cheryl Melody has embraced her purpose since the young age of three-years-old. While working as a music instructor for her company, The Children's Music Workshop, Melody could not ignore her intuition to serve as part of a global mission.
By following her inner guidance and through synchronistic meetings, Melody has connected with fellow composers and peace-makers to collectively raise the world consciousness and increase awareness of the "Peace Begins with Me" concept.

Melody's songs present not only an opportunity for singing and dancing but also for personal growth and development. She consciously and purposefully chooses her lyrics with the desire to help children experience respect, love, and compassion for themselves, others, and the planet.
Regarding her music, Melody emphasizes that "Every word of every song in every CD, class and performance nurtures a child's delicate soul from inside-out, helping to develop self-esteem, foster nonviolent conflict-resolution skills, nurture potential and creativity, while experiencing the pure joy of expressive music making!"
Cheryl Melody's Anti-Bullying and Peace Music Themes
As a child, Melody experienced first-hand the mental, emotional, and spiritual effects of bullying and isolation.
She eventually combined her natural musical talents with a passion for educating children and adults about self-respect, peaceful conflict-resolution, manners, and self-esteem. Through her warm and caring personality, voice, and lyrics, Melody's intention is to let children know that they are never alone.
Peace Begins with Me Teaching Concerts by Cheryl Melody
Melody's Peace Begins with Me project can be performed in two different venues. Written as a musical script and play for elementary and middle school children, the Peace Begins with Me Kit includes two songbooks, two CDs, and one script and can be requested by interested schools.
Both the play and concert highlight subjects like discovering self-peace, multicultural diversity, and inclusion. In 2001 Melody received an invitation to perform her concert version of Peace Begins with Me as part of a grant for 35 participating schools. Ironically, the series debuted on September 12, 2001, the day after the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States.

Healing Music for Adults by Cheryl Melody
"Voice of the Angels: A Healing Journey" is a two-part CD with music and lyrics by Melody in addition to a guided meditation by Dyan Garris. The first component includes Melody's original, one-word songs, such as the simple but powerful titles Trust, Journey, Surrender, and Love.
Section two is a meditative, spiritual quest to open the body's chakra system, or subtle energy centers, and gain clarity and insight into one's personal healing path.
With the foundation of a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Education and Creativity, Melody has produced seven empowering CDs, led presentations and keynote speaking events at national conferences, and has a total of 25 years professional experience in the children's music industry.
